After his landlord abruptly increased the rent, Massachusetts resident Brian struggled to find a home his working-class family could afford. “It’s not explicitly said that you’re not welcome here,” he said, “but it’s kind of obvious that you’re not.”
In a state where nearly 250,000 families pay more than half their income on housing, the Massachusetts Smart Growth Alliance (MSGA) challenges legislators to take action to encourage diverse, affordable neighborhoods.
Our nonprofit is working to bring residents’ housing concerns to policymakers, and we’re looking for your help. Your donation today will help us reach more people like Brian, allowing us to share their stories with legislators and other critical stakeholders.
Let’s work together to promote housing choices and equitable development. We appreciate your support, and encourage you to visit www.great-neighborhoods.org to learn more about the Great Neighborhoods campaign.
