Zoning and Permitting Reform

The Commonwealth is a nationwide leader in innovation. But when it comes to our outdated zoning laws, our state is a half-century behind the curve. Cities and towns lack the tools they need to create neighborhoods in which people can live, work, and play. Areas like these will keep current residents in Massachusetts and will attract people from outside our state, fostering economic growth. Fortunately, there is a growing movement to reform the laws that govern development in our state–supported by 59 legislators and the Boston Globe.
